Home Scrimmage 8/8/17

posted Aug 7, 2017, 9:12 PM by Coach Goldammer

We are looking forward to our first scrimmage of the 2017 season at Bradley on Tuesday evening (August 8th). Doors will be open at 4:15, play 5-8pm. We will be running 5 courts in total: courts 1 and 2 in the main gym will be Varsity.  Shawnee will not be bringing a Freshman team, so the Freshman will be playing a Tri on court 1 in the fieldhouse.  Court 2 and 3 in the fieldhouse will be a true 4 team quad scrimmage for the JV.

Varsity matches will last approximately 55 minutes (5 minute transition between matches). The schedule is as follows:

Court 1: Bradley vs. Grove City

Court 2: Shawnee vs. UA

Court 1: Bradley vs. Shawnee

Court 2: UA vs Grove City

Court 1: Bradley vs UA

Court 2: Grove City vs Shawnee

Fieldhouse/ Aux Gym Court 1Freshman Court

Matches will run about 40 minutes—1 game to 25 straight, 1 game to 15 (no cap)

The schedule is as follows:

Bradley Frosh vs Grove City Frosh

Grove City Frosh vs. UA Frosh

Bradley Frosh vs UA Frosh

Then repeat.  For the second round, I am recommending you play for time.  So if there is 1.5 hours left to play 3 matches again, go 30 mins each round……

Fieldhouse Courts 2 and 3 will be the JV Quad

5:10

Court 2: Bradley vs. Grove City

Court 3: Shawnee vs. UA

6:10

Court 2: Bradley vs. Shawnee

Court 3: UA vs Grove City

7:10

Court 2: Bradley vs UA

Court 3: Grove City vs Shawnee

Please share with any parents/spectators that they should bring their own chairs as bleacher space will be very limited.

See you on Tuesday. Go Jags!

Mandatory Parent Meeting Thursday

posted Aug 2, 2017, 7:58 PM by Coach Goldammer

There will be a mandatory Fall Sports Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 3 at 6:30 pm in the PAC.

Parents of all fall sport athletes should make arrangements to attend. The goal for the evening is to continue to unify our Jaguar athletic family and clarify our departments mission, vision and core values.  The evening topics will include a combination of Bradley Athletic Department expectations as well as OHSAA rules and expectations.  We then expect each team to have a brief breakout session by sport – lead by individual sport coaches - to clarify individual team expectations and procedures, lines of communication, encouraging booster involvement, paperwork needs on Home Access (Handbook, Risk, Concussion, Travel, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, insurance info) and pay to participate fees on mypaymentsplus.

Looking forward to a fantastic year!  Go Jags!
